About

Jeffrey Tope

Born in Pittsburgh, Pa

Lives in Florissant, Missouri

I retired from Federal Service in 2013 and now have time to pursue my creative side. I decided to teach myself welding and have always loved woodworking. I spend most of my time outdoors on a trail or hiking along the rivers. I select most of my materials  from the rivers after floods or hikes on the many Missouri trails. Sometimes it becomes a quest to get a waterlogged 70 pound stump several miles back to my vehicle --- but it is worth the effort.

The majority of the metal comes from the  railroad tracks and discarded auto parts.

I will get better with time but enjoy the process of creating a metal sculpture or a natuarl wood table --- I hope people can see the difference as I create new and better pieces.
